Terminal Maps
Portland/Vancouver
The Portland/Vancouver map includes 37 terminals, docks, and anchor buoy locations. This route extends 105 miles from Astoria, Oregon to Portland/ Vancouver, with a depth of 43 feet.
Longview/Kalama
This map displays 16 terminals, docks, and anchor buoy locations for the Longview/Kalama area. The distance from Astoria, Oregon to Longview is 45 miles, and from Astoria, Oregon to Kalama is 56 miles. The depth of the navigational channel is 43 feet.
Inland River System
The Columbia Snake River System extends 360 miles with a depth of 14 feet, from Portland/Vancouver to Lewiston, Idaho. Our boats navigate a series of eight locks and gain more than 700 feet in elevation on the voyage.Â

Founded in 1880, Shaver Transportation Company is the oldest continuously operating family-owned tugboat company on the west coast.
Currently, Captain Steve Shaver serves as CEO, President, and Chairman of the Board. Steve and his sister Samantha Shaver are co-owners of the company. Three of Steve’s children represent the sixth generation of the Shaver family involved in the business.
Our employees are an extension of our family, sharing the values and commitment that have defined our company for generations.Â
